Why take this accelerated training on the requirements under the new Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement?

Join us on February 17 for this training session where you’ll to get a better grasp of the consequences on imports and exports for companies that do business in the UK and the European Union.

Europe is Canada’s second-largest trading partner after the United States, and the United Kingdom is Canada’s top export market in Europe. Brexit, i.e. United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, has had a major impact on trade. This training session will explain the consequences of Brexit on our imports and exports.

This accelerated training will allow you to:

  • Discover the broad strokes of the free trade agreement governing trade in goods between the UK and the EU since January 1, 2021.
  • Find out the key aspects of the Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement, which replaced the CETA on the same date.
  • Know the implications for local companies doing business in the UK and the European Union, particularly in terms of imports, distribution, standards and taxes.
