On Monday, October 30 at 11:30 a.m., take part in the talk by Éric Alan Caldwell, Chair of the Board of Directors, and Marie-Claude Léonard, Chief Executive Officer of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
As a Quebec leader in sustainable mobility embarking on a new strategic planning cycle for 2030, the STM would like to invite all city stakeholders, citizens and businesses alike, to join in a critical conversation about the benefits of public transit and its essential role in decarbonizing our economy and meeting GHG reduction targets.
The STM's goal is to improve services and better adapt them to customer needs, as well as implement major projects, such as the Blue line extension, bus network electrification and facility modernization—all vital efforts to boost ridership and increase the appeal of public transit.
While the STM intends to continue doing its part to be more efficient, a new financing model is urgently needed to meet the expectations of citizens and the goals of cities and governments. The STM wishes to play a unifying role, so that we can work together to shape the future of mobility.
