In September, Northvolt announced that it had chosen Quebec to build its first factory in North America. Northvolt Six will be located in Saint-Basile-le-Grand and McMasterville and will be fully integrated, from cathode active material to recycling. Once fully built, it will produce 60 GWh of cells, enough to power one million electric vehicles per year.
By investing in Northvolt, Quebec is also becoming a major player in the global race to electrify the economy.
