THE ACTIVITY IN BRIEF
John Clinton, CEO of Edelman Canada, will be presenting for the first time in Montréal the results of the world’s largest survey on trust: The Edelman Trust Barometer©. The presentation will be followed by a discussion between four high-profile panelists.
For 14 consecutive years, the world’s largest PR firm, Edelman, has been conducting an annual survey that totals 33,000 respondents, across 27 countries, that are questioned on the trust they vow to four fundamental institutions: the media, businesses, governments and NGOs.
The CEO of Edelman Canada, John Clinton, will present and explain the 2014 results, which notably demonstrate an all-time low in the level of public trust towards the government, the primary role of NGOs in the shaping of the public opinion, the importance of traditional media and unique opportunities for businesses to show up differently in a new, stronger leadership role.
The four panelists, each representing an institution featured in the Barometer, will afterwards take part in a discussion, moderated by Edelman Montréal General Manager Yanik Deschênes, to comment the results in a Quebec context.
