The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montréal is pleased to release the study Creative industries: succeeding in a rapidly evolving environment, headed up by KPMG and conducted in partnership with the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal, the Ville de Montréal and the Government of Quebec.
This study confirms that our creative industries are a major pillar for the city’s economy and international influence. Its purpose is to spotlight the transformation these industries have gone through in recent years and update the data from the 2013 Chamber study on the same topic.
At the end of its analysis, the Chamber identified six strategic areas and key measures to direct efforts by the industry and public decision makers.

- Promote labour development
- Stimulate local demand
- Further promote creative talent
- Foster the consolidation of creative businesses
- Adapt regulation and taxation
