As part of Relaunch MTL, the specific challenges and opportunities to propel the recovery of 11 key sectors of the Montréal economy were diagnosed, using data and strategic information gathered in real time. The resulting action plans are intended to identify the most appropriate actions and solutions to assist decision-making within businesses and across all three levels of government.
This enriched action plan, which follows on from the Strategic Forum on Aerospace, highlights Quebec’s ability to export its aviation sector production, thereby strengthening its presence on the world stage, Montréal’s position among the major international airports despite the slowdown in activity caused by the pandemic, and the significant number of jobs created by this industry, whose production rate has greatly declined.
