The resulting action plans are intended to identify the most appropriate actions and solutions to assist decision-making within businesses and across all three levels of government.
At the conclusion of the Strategic Forum on Cleantech, industry players agreed that Quebec is a market that will present many opportunities for this sector in the coming years. Quebec companies will have to further integrate cleantech into their processes and put in place mechanisms to foster innovation. It is essential for stakeholders that governments be present to stimulate the adoption of clean tech by creating incentives and targeted programs for businesses. Governments can also act as technology showcases by using public procurement as an economic development tool and strengthening innovation and by highlighting examples of sustainable practices.
