The Mérite du français dans la PME award:
generate exposure for your company
Montréal, January 19, 2010 – The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal invites SMEs in the Greater Montréal area with under 50 employees who have promoted the use of French in their company in the past year to submit their candidacy for the Mérite du français dans la PME award. Companies have until February 1, 2010 to take part.
Created in cooperation with the Office québécois de la langue française, the Mérite du français dans la PME award recognizes the efforts of companies in promoting the use of French among workers and their integration to the workplace through a variety of activities: French courses, terminology tools, promoting the use of French in communication and on equipment, etc.
“SMEs have everything to gain by submitting their candidacy for this award,” said Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. “The winning company will receive enviable visibility. Plus the Mérite du français dans la PME award will make it a role model in promoting the use of French, and its initiatives will be showcased. I hope executives of SMEs will seize this opportunity for their company to distinguish itself.”
Montréal companies with fewer than 50 employees can enter to win the first prize for an SME, which will be awarded on March 24, 2010 during the Soirée Mérites and Francopub.
