Press release
Third edition of Export Alliance Construction:
Official launch of the Web site
for the event designed for companies in the construction industry Montreal, December 10, 2003 Today, the World Trade Centre Montréal, a service branch of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, in partnership with the ministère du Développement économique et régional and the Société d'habitation du Québec officially launched the Web site for the 2004 edition of Export Alliance Construction, to be held in Montréal on March 29 and 30, 2004.
This training and networking event aims primarily to bridge the gap between Québec companies in the construction industry and potential buyers in the United States. These companies will have the opportunity to forge new business ties and increase or consolidate their knowledge of exporting through practical workshops providing them with the tools needed to establish a personalized export diagnosis.
The second edition of this event, held last February, attracted more than 150 participants, including foreign buyers and Québec and Canadian trade commissioners and commercial attachés representing various North and South American markets. During the two-day event, more than 260 business meetings were organized for Quebec contractors, more than double the number organized in the previous year.
The mission of the World Trade Centre Montreal is to support, train, and advise companies, associations, institutions, and economic development organizations in their efforts in foreign markets to help them export their products and services through an integrated program of export solutions. The WTC Montréal is part of the international network of World Trade Centers present in more than 300 metropolises around the world.
