The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in partnership with Quebec MDEIE and the Bureau du Québec à Toronto invite Quebec manufacturers to meet representatives of Canadian Tire, Home Depot and Home Hardware
Montreal, Wednesday, November 23, 2005 The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal is inviting Quebec manufacturers of hardware and home renovation products to meet with the representatives of Canadian Tire, Home Depot and Home Hardware in Toronto.
We are pleased to invite Quebec hardware and home renovation manufacturers to join this mission to Toronto. Participants will benefit from individual meetings with buyers representing the three major retailers as well as numerous networking opportunities. Quebec has the highest manufacturing output of any Canadian province, and we wish to give our manufacturers a chance to take full advantage of the Canadian marketplace. We are convinced that Canadian Tire, Home Depot and Home Hardware will also benefit from this unique event, declared Isabelle Hudon, president and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.
At the one-day event, manufacturers in product categories as diverse as storage, garden supplies, construction materials, tools, paint, flooring, plumbing, cleaning products and doors and windows will be able to learn more about the procurement practices of the three major retailers and to hold one-on-one meetings with their representatives. They will also have the opportunity to take part in seminars on the latest trends in hardware and renovation retail chain, and attend a networking cocktail.
The mission is organized thanks to the financial and technical support of Quebec's Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation and the Bureau du Québec à Toronto.
The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal has some 7,000 members. Its mission is to represent the interests of the business community for the greater Montreal area and to offer a full range of specialized services to individuals, merchants and companies of all sizes so as to help them achieve their full potential in terms of innovation, productivity and competitiveness. The Board of Trade is the largest private organization in Quebec dedicated to economic development.
