Montréal Free Style: A promising approach to highlighting
Montréal's creativity in the world of fashion
Montréal, march 3, 2009 The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal considers the new Montréal Free Style strategy aiming to promote Montréal's creativity in the world of fashion to be highly promising.
We are delighted that this initiative was made possible by the decision of the City of Montréal and the Quebec Government to join forces in this arena. What's more, we support the strategic approach calling for the collaboration of the industry's major players to carry out initiatives favourable to the entire sector. This approach, which calls to mind that of our industrial clusters, bodes well for this other key sector of the metropolitan economy. In this difficult economic period, Montréal Free Style demonstrates both the need to pool our strengths and the potential for success such an exercise can hold, declared Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.
The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal has some 7,000 members. Its primary mission is to represent the interests of the business community of Greater Montréal and to provide individuals, merchants, and local businesses of all sizes with a variety of specialized services to help them achieve their full potential in terms of innovation, productivity and competitiveness. The Board of Trade is Quebec's leading private economic development organization.
