The ten university institutions in Greater Montréal got together on May 25 to launch the 10 together awareness campaign.
10 together campaign
The ten Montréal university institutions (École de technologie supérieure, École nationale d’administration publique, HEC Montréal, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Polytechnique Montréal, Concordia University, Université de Montréal, McGill University, Université de Sherbrooke – Longueuil Campus) gathered on the belvedere of Mont Royal to launch the 10 together awareness campaign. The campaign reminds citizens of the concrete benefits of living in a city like Montréal, which is home to so many institutions of higher learning.
Until June 22, this campaign, which has TV host Jean-Philippe Wauthier as its spokesperson, will give Montrealers a chance to discover the many attributes of their university city thanks to display advertising and, in particular, the Roaming Classroom.

Our universities, our brains: a source of pride!
Why are Montréal universities mobilizing? Because Greater Montréal is an incubator for brains that should make Montrealers proud.
Montréal has over 150,000 students, and year after year it ranks as one of the top university cities in the world. Close to 40% of the province’s research and development activities are conducted by local universities.[1]It is important to recognize the value of degrees and the contribution of universities to the economy and quality of life in the community. We should note that:
- Universities train the skilled labour local businesses need.
- University research increases the ability of local industries to innovate.
- Graduate degrees have a significant impact on personal income (the average salary for those with a master’s or doctoral degree is twice that of a high school graduate).
Montrealers: take advantage of the Roaming Classroom to discover or rediscover the asset our universities represent!
We should be proud of local universities and graduates, who help make the city prosperous. Let’s join forces for 10 together!
