9th edition of Export Alliance Construction:
The largest construction-sector networking event for Quebec-based manufacturers-exporters
Montréal, January 26, 2010 – The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and its team of international trade experts from the World Trade Centre Montréal, through a partnership with the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation, and the Société d’habitation du Québec, will hold the ninth edition of Export Alliance Construction at the Omni Mont-Royal hotel this coming February 1st.
Export Alliance Construction is the largest networking event in the construction industry in Quebec. It allows Quebec-based manufacturers who export their construction materials and products to form and develop business ties with foreign buyers. This year, these buyers will be making their way here from Ontario and Alberta, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Costa Rica. The event will bring together 20 foreign buyers and 50 Quebec-based manufacturers from the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction sectors for some 200 meetings.
“The Board of Trade, through its experts from the World Trade Centre Montréal, provides a unifying link between local businesses and foreign markets. The goal of Export Alliance Construction 2010 is to help Quebec-based businesses meet major buyers that have shown an interest by coming here to discover their products, and to make the most of business opportunities that arise elsewhere in Canada and on foreign markets. Participants in this year’s event will certainly have the opportunity to showcase the quality and added value of their products,” stated Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade and of the World Trade Centre Montréal.
Export Alliance Construction is made possible through a partnership with the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation, and the Société d’habitation du Québec, as well as through the collaboration of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Association de la construction du Québec, Export Development Canada, and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
