Join us on Monday, May 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. for a luncheon with Ginette Petitpas Taylor and Minister responsible for the ACOA, Canada’s Minister of Official Languages, and Jean-François Roberge, Quebec’s Minister of the French Language and Minister Responsible for Canadian Relations and the Canadian Francophonie.
As the language issue continues to be subject to debate in Canada and Quebec, the Chamber is pleased to receive representatives of the federal and provincial governments, for the first time in the same forum, to discuss this important issue.
The following topics will be addressed:
- The new Action Plan for Official Languages and the major investments announced in the last federal budget
- Progress on Bill C-13 to modernize the Official Languages Act
- The new regulatory environment for businesses following the recent agreement between the two governments
- The shared goal of the federal and provincial governments in working together on this important issue
Following their presentations, the Ministers will discuss with Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Chamber.
