On Tuesday, December 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., take part in a webinar on Bill 64, An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information with Estelle Azemard, Vice-President, Americas, and Daniel-Nicolas El Khoury, Legal Counsel, Canada of OVHcloud.
Adopted in September, Bill 64 promises a major overhaul of Quebec's personal data protection legislation. Freely inspired by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, it provides for a strengthening of individual consent, transparency on data use, and the governance framework for private and public organizations.
As cloud computing becomes an increasingly important part of an organization's strategy, organizations must make the right choices to ensure that their data is protected. There are many good practices in security and governance and it is sometimes difficult to find your way around.
This conference will help you to:
- Clarify the issues and requirements of the new Bill 64: when and how to put in place the right practices to address them as soon as possible.
- Understand how your cloud provider can assist you in this compliance process and what aspects to value in order to exercise full control over your data, in full transparency and protected from extra-territorial legislations.
- Be confident about the next legislative steps in data protection in Canada.
*Please note this activity will take place on Zoom. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a login link for the event.
