As part of the COP15, taking place in Montréal December 7 to 19, the Chamber is organizing a conference on integrating biodiversity with businesses with operations in the city.
The conference will be hosted by Anaïs Légaré Morasse, Head, Analysis and Communications at the Chamber of commerce of the Montreal metropolitain, and take place at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Against a backdrop of fighting climate change, the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal would like to make the city’s business community aware of the importance of biodiversity from the perspective of the green transition. At the heart of the COP15, the event is designed to shine a light on businesses that are investing in biodiversity.
Speakers will discuss their strategies for integrating biodiversity into their practices. Their initiatives have given them perspective on the obstacles, benefits of considering biodiversity, and ways of measuring the economic and environmental benefits.
As biodiversity is a facet of the fight against climate change that remains unfamiliar to businesses in urban areas, the conference is an opportunity to learn more about avenues for action and best practices in the area.
