On Wednesday, March 31 at noon, join an online discussion on the potential of the agri‑food sector as part of the Relaunch MTL movement.
For most of us, the agri‑food sector is associated more with rural than urban contexts. However, the COVID‑19 pandemic has revealed the importance of this sector for Greater Montréal.
Access to quality local production has become a priority to limit our exposure to disruptions in continental supply chains.
With the emergence of trends such as urban agriculture, the consumption of products with low environmental impact and the development of products with high export potential, the agri‑food sector has become a lever for the economic recovery of Greater Montréal.
The online event will be hosted by Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Chamber. It will begin with an overview of the agri‑food sector presented by two representatives from Deloitte.
This will be followed by a discussion among key leaders in the sector to answer:
- How can we minimize the impact of the pandemic on this sector?
- How can the sector contribute to Greater Montréal's recovery and how can we maximize that contribution?
* Please note this activity will take place on Zoom. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a login link for the event.
