When we invest in culture, our entire economic and social fabric benefits. Montréal, a city of art and culture, is at a turning point, due in part to the challenges of financing and business models.
To maintain our position as a cultural and creative metropolis, we must act in concert. This initiative is the result of a collective mobilization involving public players, cultural funders, performing arts, festivals, venues and economic players. It offers a unique opportunity to build a shared ambitious vision, while providing solutions to the challenges facing the sector and reducing the risks of devitalization of the creative core. It is by creating synergies between the various sectors that we will be able to strengthen our attractiveness to talent and cultural businesses and enhance Montréal's international reputation.
The Forum will also be an opportunity to unveil two studies demonstrating the major impact of this sector on the prosperity of Montréal.
