A springboard for innovative start-ups and large corporations: introducing InnoBahn Ubisoft!

Montréal, April 7 2016 – The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and Ubisoft are teaming up to launch InnoBahn Ubisoft, a brand new series of events in which start-ups try to distinguish themselves with an innovative solution to a large corporation’s problem. The first InnoBahn Ubisoft event will be held June 7. Ubisoft and L’Oréal Canada will be the first two large corporations to entertain innovative solutions from start-ups.

InnoBahn Ubisoft will be more than a simple networking event; it will be a springboard for innovative companies. Participating companies and start-ups will receive complete, customized advice from Hyperliens’ expert team of consultants before and after the events. Throughout the process, large companies will be guided in defining their needs for innovation, and start-ups will take part in a session to prepare their pitch. Our intention is to accelerate innovation in large companies by fostering lasting ties and solutions working with start-ups.

“With InnoBahn Ubisoft, we want to show large corporations just how many creative start-ups our business community has that are able to meet their needs in innovation,” said Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. “But beyond that, from this pool of start-ups we want to support them in finding the one that will help them advance, through InnoBahn Ubisoft’s personalized guidance process. This is what is innovative about the initiative, and it will create rewarding connections for start-ups, large companies and investors.”

“We are very enthusiastic about being involved in starting InnoBahn Ubisoft,” said Francis Baillet, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs at Ubisoft. “This is a new way for us to participate in Montréal’s economic development in a niche that is an integral part of our culture. We also believe that it is in the interest of companies like ours for Montréal to have an ecosystem of innovative, technological and creative businesses. It generates new ideas, new products and new talent in the city, which drives and inspires our company and our employees.”

For the first InnoBahn Ubisoft event, start-ups have until April 29 to submit their innovative solution for the problems presented by Ubisoft and L’Oréal. A jury will select four start-ups for each large company participating in the event. For details, visit our website.

The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal’s InnoBahn Ubisoft event is made possible through the support of Ubisoft and organized in partnership with Hyperliens’ expert team of consultants and Startupfest.
