The Chamber launches its annual campaign to recognize the contribution of pillars to the city’s vitality

The year 2022 is an important milestone for the Chamber: its bicentennial. Founded in 1822 by a group of merchants, it has never stopped contributing to the prosperity of Greater Montréal and its businesses. Today, we celebrate the ambition, talent, and pride that inhabits our community and that is a springboard to launch Montréal into the future. Initiatives will run throughout the year to showcase the engagement of our key economic actors.

The Chamber’s pillar sponsors –  Rio Tinto, Bell, SNC-Lavalin, Air Canada, Hydro-Québec and CGI – are among those who actively participate in the city’s economic vitality. This is the spirit in which, for its annual pillars campaign, the Chamber would like to thank these high-level sponsors “200 times” for their involvement over the years in the city’s development and well-being.

The pillars campaign will run until the end of June 2022. It will be featured on the Chamber’s social media platforms as well as in traditional media to shine a light on each of the sponsor’s contributions to the city.

200 thanks for expanding our horizons

A hub of the aerospace sector, Greater Montréal has an enviable position in the world. The presence of Aéroports de Montréal, a corporation that the Chamber helped create, guarantees the city is uniquely a gateway to the world.

200 thanks for giving us the energy to thrive

We need to commit quickly to a green, sustainable economy. The Chamber and its pillars firmly believe in mobilizing the business community to reach this goal and for the sustainability and vitality of the city.

200 thanks for helping us take advantage of tomorrow’s technologies

We must leverage our knowledge and our sense of innovation to tackle the major technological challenges that threaten us. The quality of connections and interactions will be crucial to ensuring the success of local businesses.

These six campaign parts will also be gradually disseminated on all Chamber platforms, including in its newsletter and on social media from now until the end of June 2022.
